2018: Training Teachers to Impact 21st Century Students – CCD Bacău

The main aim of the project: the update of knowledge and observation of good practices by the trainers of the institution through learning mobilities in institutions from Norway and Iceland with a view to improving the training practices as well as the teaching practices of secondary school teachers.
Specific objectives:
- the acquisition of new tools for assessment in the 21st century;
- exploration and acquisition of new teaching/training methods in the 21st century;
- development of flexibility, interpersonal and communication skills;
- development of intercultural awareness
- improvement of teachers’ knowledge and capacity to deal with demotivated students;
- improvement of teachers’ performance and ability to adapt teaching and assessment methods;
Partners:
- Newschool, AS (Norway): educational design agency specialised in the development of instruments which facilitate learning experiences in accordance with the current needs. The agency focuses on innovation in the field of educational technology.
- InterCultural Iceland: InterCultural Iceland is a non-profit organization which develops educational initiatives and offers a wide spectrum of training activities and has multi-disciplinary expertise.
Impact: The experts update their knowledge and competences in terms of training methods. The contact with other cultures contributes to their personal development. The institution develops its training offer with 3 approved courses which will be included in an accredited training programme starting with the 2020-2021 academic year.
Main results: Intangible – update of knowledge and development of competences by participants; tangible – course materials developed by participants, trained teachers, certificates of attendance, individual reports, dissemination materials.
Indicators: 9 trained trainers; 3 approved courses; 3 seminars with trainers, 3 24-hour courses addressed to a number of 120 teachers in secondary schools, 1 accredited training programme.
