The aim of the project was to increase the institutional capacity of partner schools in Prahova County to ensure the social inclusion of Roma children through the training of teachers, parents, and students, as well as the development of school programs and teaching materials.
Objectives:
- Ob1: Improving the skills related to the inclusion of Roma children by training 72 teachers from partner schools in Prahova County in the program’s targeted areas within 12 months.
- Ob2: Ensuring the quality of training on social inclusion by developing three school programs and three teaching materials related to an inclusive and multicultural environment by partner schools in Prahova County within 8 months.
- Ob3: Increasing awareness of social inclusion and anti-discrimination among 120 parents (Roma and non-Roma) from partner schools in Prahova County through the organization of joint parenting education sessions over a period of 12 months.
- Ob4: Providing access to common awareness and skill development activities related to social inclusion for 240 students (Roma and non-Roma) from partner schools in Prahova County through participation in inclusion and social skills development workshops over a period of 12 months.
Results:
- 72 teachers trained on program-specific topics;
- Three school programs and three teaching materials developed on inclusion and multicultural environment;
- 120 Roma and non-Roma parents participating in joint awareness activities on parenting education and discrimination;
- 240 Roma and non-Roma students participating in extracurricular activities;
- Five social inclusion seminars and others.
