2020: Norwegian internship model for the school-company partnership

Since 2020-2021 school year, “Ion Mincu” Technological High School provides tuition in dual education, being the only school in the area with this training system. The dual education requested by the project partner is an attempt by society to solve the crisis of qualified labor, but also by the school, to attract students to the qualification involved in the project. The aim of the project was to improve the quality of learning at work with the objectives: qualifying implementation of dual education of 5 people responsible for practical training, developing training skills of 2 project partner’s internship tutors and consolidation and expansion of the dual partnership in the next 3 years.
The main activity of the project was the study visit in the similar school in Estonia, benefited by 8 teachers and 2 representatives of the partner company. The mobility was very important as it responded to the need to develop the professional skills of the participants and to improve the quality of the working training of our students.
In the local project activities, the final products were realized and integrated into the internship activities. As a result of the implementation of the project, the other VET teaching staff in the school and 10 tutors of the partner company improved their skills through training in the workshops organized by the mobility participants. 94.8% of the students from the VET training declared that they have improved their learning outcomes in the internships.
The learning results and the final products realized during the project will be used by the next series students, by other interested institutions in the local activities. Carrying out dual education at a higher level of quality will increase the employment opportunities of future graduates, solving the shortage of skilled labor in the community.
